A total of 184 Holi Special Train trips run this year

Central Railway has given a wonderful Holi gift to Uttar Pradesh / Madhya Pradesh/ Jharkhand / Delhi / Haryana bound passengers this festive / holi season.

Central Railway is running a total of 184 Special trains to various destinations across the country to facilitate passengers to celebrate Holi festival with their near and dear ones.

Of these, 68 train trips are for Uttar Pradesh / Madhya Pradesh/ Jharkhand / Delhi / Haryana bound passengers

These trains include AC Specials, trains with mixed combination of AC, Sleeper and General coaches apart from Unreserved specials.

Uttar Pradesh has a major share in these with 36 Special Train trips as follows:

10 trips from Mumbai to Mau

6 trips from Mumbai to Banaras

8 trips from Mumbai to Gorakhpur

4 trips from Mumbai to Kanpur and

8 trips from Pune to Ghazipur City

The other 32 train trips include

4 trips from Pune to Jhansi (MP)

4 trips from Hadapsar to Jhansi (MP)

6 trips from Pune to Indore (MP)

10 trips from Nashik Road to Dhanbad (Jharkhand)

4 trips from Pune to Hazrat Nizamuddin (Delhi) and

4 trips from Hadapsar to Hisar (Haryana)

These Special trains will be helpful to passengers to plan their journeys. To ensure passenger comfort and convenience, Central Railway has enhanced passenger facilities and implemented several measures across its network.

Sufficient number of Ticket counters at various stations have been provided to facilitate the passengers. Holding areas are being created at major stations with provision of drinking water, food and toilet facilities.

A systematic queue management system has been put in place to ensure proper boarding in special trains by deploying extra RPF personnel and ticket checking staff. Visible presence of Railway Protection Force (RPF) and ticket checking staff at key locations throughout the stations is also helpful for maintaining passengers safety & security. These personnel are assisting in directing passengers to their designated platforms, ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, and effectively manage crowd movement throughout the station premises.

These special trains to Uttar Pradesh / Madhya Pradesh/ Jharkhand / Delhi / Haryana include extension of some Special Trains with revised composition to clear the extra rush of passengers travelling for Holi festival.
