General Manager, NCR,Naresh Pal Singh, reinforcing the hospital mission to integrate cutting-edge technology with compassionate care inaugurated the two state-of-the-art medical systems. He inaugurated the latest model multiprogrammable dental chair in the department of dentistry & VITEK 2 Compact System in department of Pathology of Central hospital

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Manjulata Handoo, ACHD (Dental), announced the commissioning of the latest model multiprogrammable dental chair, equipped with inbuilt scaler, light-cure unit, micromotor, intra-oral camera, RVG, and a portable X-ray unit?facilitating instant imaging and prompt diagnosis.

The system is further enhanced with a periodontal laser, enabling biopsy and gum treatment with minimal trauma and negligible bleeding, significantly improving patient comfort and clinical outcomes.

In another landmark development, Dr. Usha S. P. Yadav, ACHD (Microbiology), highlighted the inauguration of the VITEK 2 Compact System, ushering in a new era of rapid microbiological diagnostics at Central Hospital, NCR.

Addressing the gathering, She elaborated on the clinical significance of Identification and Antibiotic Susceptibility Testing (ID/AST), describing it as a cornerstone of modern microbiology. She explained that automated systems like VITEK 2 Compact utilise advanced colorimetric and turbidimetric technologies to deliver accurate identification of bacterial and fungal pathogens along with targeted antibiotic susceptibility results within hours crucial in combating drug-resistant infections.

While speaking on the occasion Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Handoo, highlighted the remarkable achievements of the hospital, noting that all departments have demonstrated extraordinary performance, with an overall increase in workload ranging from 15% to 20%. He lauded the dedication, professionalism, and tireless efforts of departmental heads and staff, stating that when teamwork becomes a culture, excellence becomes a habit. Reflecting the hospital?s forward-looking vision, Dr. Handoo announced the ongoing development of G+3 and G+6 infrastructure projects, which will house new specialised units?marking yet another significant stride in strengthening patient-centric healthcare delivery.

The inaugural function was graced by senior officers from NCR Headquarters and Divisional levels, including AGM Joginder Singh Lakra PCMD Dr. Rakesh Nigam, DRM Rajneesh Aggarwal, CMS Dr. Surendra Nath, along with Doctors, Officers, Staff from the hospital fraternity.
