International Women’s Day Celebrated at Central Hospital, NCR Prayagraj

International Women?s Day was celebrated with enthusiasm and meaningful discussions at Central Hospital NCR, Prayagraj on 9 March.The programme was presided over by Medical Director,CH Dr S .K Handoo, who highlighted the important role of women in society and especially in the healthcare sector.

The programme was hosted by ACHD/CH Dr Usha S. P. Yadav, who welcomed the gathering and spoke about the significance of celebrating International Women?s Day as a reminder of women?s achievements and their continuing journey towards equality, empowerment, and leadership.Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Surendra Nath emphasized women?s role in nation building.

During the programme, ACHD Dr Kalpana Mishra, Dr Reena Agarwal, and Dr Manjulata Handoo shared their thoughts on the importance of recognizing the contributions of women in professional as well as social spheres. They emphasized the need to support women?s education, health, and leadership, and encouraged everyone to work collectively for an inclusive and respectful environment.

An interactive session was also held in which participants actively engaged with the speakers, sharing their experiences and views. The discussion provided an opportunity for meaningful dialogue on challenges faced by women and ways to promote empowerment and gender equality.

Approximately 250 participants including doctors,paramedical staff and railway beneficiaries participated in the programme.

The programme concluded with appreciation for all participants and speakers who contributed to making the celebration informative and inspiring. The event reflected the commitment of Central Hospital/NCR Prayagraj towards promoting awareness, respect, and empowerment of women in the workplace and society.
