LG Sinha Unveils Vaishno Devi Shrine Board’s Panchang Calendar, Dairy For 2026

SRINAGAR: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday released the Panchang Calendar?2026 along with the official diary of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB) at Lok Bhavan.

Prepared under the guidance of renowned scholars and priests, the 2026 Panchang is intended to serve as a detailed spiritual reference for devotees, offering information on auspicious dates, festivals and religious observances throughout the year. The Lieutenant Governor commended the Shrine Board for upholding age-old spiritual traditions while adapting them to the needs of modern pilgrims, noting that such initiatives help strengthen the spiritual bond of devotees worldwide and reflect the Board?s service-oriented approach.

Briefing the gathering, SMVDSB Chief Executive Officer Sachin Kumar Vaishya said the calendar also showcases several key initiatives undertaken by the Board for the benefit of devotees, community welfare and environmental protection. He highlighted the green Trikuta Hills initiative aimed at conserving the natural surroundings of the shrine, the provision of free Langar Sewa, the Swachhata Abhiyan to promote cleanliness and shared responsibility along the pilgrimage route, and the dedication of five temples to the public in Reasi district to enhance the region?s spiritual infrastructure.
