RPF/ER ARRESTS TOPB OFFENDER AT SEALDAH RAILWAY STATION UNDER MISSION YATRI SURAKSHA

In a proactive step towards ensuring the safety and security of passengers, Eastern Railway Railway Protection Force (RPF) continues its strong action under ?Mission Yatri Suraksha to curb theft and other offences affecting passengers. Strengthening its surveillance and crime-prevention efforts, the RPF team successfully apprehended a Theft of Passengers Belongings (TOPB) offender at Sealdah Railway Station.

officials of the Crime Protection & Detection Squad (CPDS), Sealdah, detected and arrested one TOPB offender from Sealdah Railway Station. During the operation, the team recovered one ladies bag containing 150 grams of silver, 2.5 grams of gold ornaments, one mobile phone, and other valuable belongings worth approximately Rs. 80,000/-.

The apprehended individual, along with the recovered items, was handed over to GRPS/Sealdah, where a case has been registered under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
