The accused, wanted for providing funding to ISI handlers in exchange for sending confidential information related to the Indian Army and carrying a reward of Rs 50,000, was arrested by UP ATS.

In the year 2023, Uttar Pradesh ATS, at the behest of Pakistani intelligence agency ISI, has destroyed the criminal, anti-national network of sending important confidential information related to the Indian Army and sending money in return to Pakistan-based ISI handlers using various illegal accounts. While registering FIR No. 14/23 Section 121A/120B at Police Station-ATS, Lucknow, a total of 03 accused 1- Amrit Pal Singh alias Amrit Gill, 2- Izharul Hussain and 3- Riyazuddin were arrested. During the investigation of the case and interrogation of the arrested accused, another name was revealed - Ziaul Haq, son of Late. The name of Sheikh Fakre Alam came to light.

Accused Ziaul Haq is in direct contact with Pakistani agents and to hide his identity, he used to dodge the police by creating a WhatsApp account with Nepali SIM. It was the responsibility of Ziaul Haq to arrange for various account holders to send money at the behest of ISI agents sitting in Pakistan and to deposit the money collected through criminal activities and distribute it to Indian sources who provided information to ISI. It is noteworthy that in March 2023, a total of Rs 70 lakh collected through cyber fraud was deposited in the account of previously arrested accused Riyazuddin and withdrawn by transferring it to various accounts, in connection with which investigation is being done. The ATS team was continuously trying to arrest the above accused Ziaul Haq and a reward of Rs 50,000/- was also announced by the Inspector General of Police, ATS Uttar Pradesh for his arrest.

Uttar Pradesh ATS received intelligence that the accused Ziaul Haq, the above wanted reward in the case registered in the police station-ATS, is currently hiding in the border of Uttar Pradesh and is trying to escape somewhere. Confirming this information, after conducting electronic and physical surveillance, the accused was arrested by the ATS team from Khalilabad Railway Station of Sant Kabir Nagar district on 03.05.24. Earlier, a non-bailable arrest warrant (NBW) was issued by the Honorable Court for the arrest of the accused.

The arrested accused should be presented before the concerned honorable court as per rules and given advance legal notice. Action will be taken. details accused
