NFR has operationalized additional stoppages of 19 trains at Different Station of Assam

Northeast Frontier Railway has introduced additional stoppages for 19 trains at selected stations of different parts of Assam with the objective of enhancing passenger convenience and strengthening regional rail connectivity. These additional stoppages are being implemented in a phased manner in the period between 20th to 28th February, 2026, thereby improving accessibility for passengers across important intermediate stations.

With effect from 20th February, 2026, Train No. 15615/15616 Guwahati-Silchar-Guwahati Express has been provided with an additional stoppage at Salchapra. From 21st February, 2026, Train No. 15669/15670 Guwahati-Dibrugarh-Guwahati Express has been scheduled to stop at Kampur, while Train No. 15611/15612 Rangiya-Silchar-Rangiya Express has been provided a stoppage at Jagiroad.

Effective from 22nd February,Train No. 15603/15604 Guwahati-Ledo-Guwahati Express has been given an additional stoppage at Kampur, and Train No. 13125 Kolkata-Sairang Express has been scheduled to stop at Katakhal. From 23rd February, 2026, Train No. 13176 Silchar-Sealdah Kanchanjunga Express has been provided a stoppage at Lanka, while Train No. 15417/15418 Alipurduar-Silghat Town-Alipurduar Rajyarani Express has been given a stoppage at Amoni. Additionally, Train No. 13126 Kolkata-Sairang Express and Train No. 15609/15610 Guwahati-Sairang-Guwahati Express have been provided stoppages at Katakhal and Katlicherra respectively. Also, Train No. 15663/15664 Agartala-Silchar-Agartala Express has been scheduled to stop at Suprakandi Halt.

A significant number of additional stoppages were introduced from 24th February, 2026. Train No. 15665/15666 Mariani-Guwahati-Mariani BG Express will now stop at Barpathar. The train was formally flagged off at Barpathar Station by Member of Parliament Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, who inaugurated the enhanced service in the presence of railway officials and local passengers, underscoring the importance of improved connectivity for the region. Train No. 15625 Deoghar-Agartala Express has been provided a stoppage at Hojai, while Train No. 13175 Sealdah-Silchar Kanchanjunga Express will stop at Lanka. Furthermore, Train No. 13181/13182 Kolkata?Silghat Town?Kolkata Express has been provided a stoppage at Senchoa.

From 25th February, 2026 onwards, Train No. 15665/15666 Guwahati-Mariani-Guwahati Express, Train No. 15928 New Tinsukia-Rangiya Express, and Train No. 15615/15616 Guwahati-Silchar-Guwahati Express will stop at Jamunamukh. In addition, Train No. 15615/15616 Guwahati-Silchar-Guwahati Express has been provided further stoppages at Chaparmukh and Kampur. Train No. 15611 Rangiya-Silchar Express and Train No. 15909 Dibrugarh-Lalgarh Avadh Assam Express will also stop at Lanka.

Subsequently, from 26th February 2026, onwards few more trains like Train No. 15612 Silchar-Rangiya Express & Train No. 15910 Lalgarh-Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express will stop at Lanka, while Train No. 15927 Rangiya-New Tinsukia Express will stop at Jamunamukh. Further, Agartala-Deoghar Express will also be provided with an additional stoppage at Hojai.

These additional stoppages are expected to significantly benefit daily commuters, long distance passengers, and residents of the region by improving accessibility and connectivity across the zone. NFR remains committed towards enhancing passenger amenities and responding to the growing transportation necessities.
