Central Railway General Manager inaugurates Modular Operation Theatre Complex and other Medical Units in the New Super Speciality Building of Central Railway Hospital, Byculla.

Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway inaugurated the Modular Operation Theatre Complex, High Dependency Units, Oncology Unit and Nephrology Unit in the New Super Speciality Hospital Building, Central Railway Hospital, Byculla, on 27.09.2025.

The New Super Speciality building constructed within the premises of the Bharat Ratna Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar Memorial Hospital, Byculla, Central Railway, is a Ground + 6 Storey building with State-of-the-Art modern facilities for advanced treatment.

On this occasion,Asha Meena, President, Central Railway Women Welfare Organisation (CRWWO) donated and inaugurated 2 Water purifiers, 2 Induction Cook tops with vessels, 4 Electric kettles and a Digital weighing Scale for the benefit of patients undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Speaking on the occasion, the General Manager reaffirmed Central Railways commitment to enhancing healthcare services and lauded the collective efforts of doctors, staff, and welfare organizations in strengthening patient care.

The New Super Speciality Hospital building is designed with the latest advancements in Medical technology providing health care professionals with the best tools & appropriate environment needed to deliver the best possible care. It represents the Team?s dedication to enhancing the health and well-being of its patients. It is a symbol of Central Railway?s unwavering commitment to provide the highest standards of care to its employees and is on par with any superspeciality hospital in any sector of India.

Dr. Shobha Jagannath, Principal Chief Medical Director,Neeraj Kumar Dohare, SDGM & In-charge of Hospital Infrastructure Development Committee, Principal Head of Departments including Rajnish Mathur, Principal Chief Engineer (PCE/CR),Shyam Sundar Gupta, Principal Chief Operations Manager (PCOM) & President of Central Railway Officers? Association (CROA) were present during the event.

Hiresh Mina, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mumbai Division, Dr. Sajeev N K, Medical Director, and Dr S Kanakaraya and Dr Jamuna Kanakaraya,Chief Specialists along with Senior Officers from Headquarters and Mumbai Division were also present.

The event also witnessed the presence of Executive Body Members of CRWWO and representatives general secretaries of all recognised railway unions, who joined in welcoming the new healthcare additions.

A ceremonial session was later held at RAPICON Hall, where Dr. Sajeev, Medical Director, outlined the journey and milestones achieved in making this new infrastructure a reality. Dr. Shobha Jagannath, PCMD/CR, emphasized the transformative impact of the new facilities and shared the ongoing process of upgrading into a standalone post-graduate teaching institute in the near future.

The inauguration marks an important milestone in the hospital journey towards offering comprehensive and specialized healthcare under one roof.
